Practicing bunker shots over and over again in practice will only get you so good at this shot. If you truly want to master this shot then there is a best way to practice and it is not hitting from the same lie to the same flag over and over again.

You have worked hard to improve your bunker fundamentals to a point that you feel comfortable playing the shot and you hit a lot of quality bunker shots in practice yet when you go on the course you struggle to reproduce the same quality shots. It is quite likely that the problem is not a technical one, but rather a problem with who you are practicing.

In this video I explain a skill progression I use with players to help them not only improve their technique, but to challenge them in practice and thus allow them to play quality bunker shots on the golf course.
